The Dylan Whisky Bar in Kilkenny is a beautiful  old Victorian style whiskey bar that specialises in fine whiskeys and whiskies. Our Whiskey Library which now contains over 250 of the worlds finest Irish Whiskeys,  Scotch Whiskies and and other world whiskeys,  is continually growing. We also stock an impressive range of over 50 Premium Gins.

With comfortable leather seating, cosy private snugs, an open turf fire & walls adorned with whiskey mirrors, old advertising and Bob Dylan memorabilia; this bar provides a warm cosy atmosphere in which to chat with friends while enjoying your dram. If whiskey’s not your thing, we also have a great selection of beers, wines cocktails and other choice spirits as well as a musical entertainment programme each evening.

The Dylan Whisky Bar is also a leading founder member of the Kilkenny Whiskey Guild which is a new initiative designed to promote Irish Whiskey Tourism in the historic medieval city of Kilkenny.  Kilkenny folks will tell you that one of the first written account of distilling in Ireland came from Kilkenny in the 14th century with the Red Book of Ossory. The Kilkenny Whiskey Guild  celebrate and highlight this rich history.

Whisky Tasting

whisky TastingNo reservations are required for our standard Whiskey Tasting Mat. Taste three 15ml  pours of Irish Whiskey for just €20. Our standard tasting mat features two single malts including our malt of the month. You get to choose your third tasting sample from our connoisseurs choice of Irish Whiskey.  Our Sipping School, Private Whiskey Master Classes and a selection of special Whiskey Tasting Mats are all available on request.
